Playa Santa Cruz
Playa Santa Cruz is a sheltered west-coast fishing bay best known as the easiest launch point for kayaking or boating to the nearby Blue Room — a sea cave that glows electric blue.
About 45 minutes from Willemstad, the calm bay has soft sand, a snack spot and boat operators who run trips to the Blue Room and the Mushroom Forest just around the headland. You can also simply swim and relax. Bring a mask: snorkelling into the low-ceilinged cave on a calm day reveals the famous blue light from sunlight refracting beneath the surface.
