Playa Kalki (Alice in Wonderland)
Playa Kalki sits at the far north-west tip near Westpunt, above one of Curaçao's signature reefs — the gently sloping coral garden known as Alice in Wonderland.
It is about an hour and ten minutes from Willemstad. A stairway and a small dive resort sit above a modest beach; the real draw is the water. Snorkellers find healthy coral close in, and divers descend to the mushroom-shaped coral heads of Alice in Wonderland just offshore. The remote location keeps crowds light.
Good to know
- Pair a Kalki swim with a Westpunt seafood lunch.
- Best for snorkellers and divers rather than sunbathers.
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen to protect the coral.
