Terms & Booking Conditions
These conditions govern reservation requests made through this website and stays at Majestic City Palace Hotel. By submitting a reservation request you agree to them.
Reservations
Reservations made through this website are processed in real time by our booking system and are confirmed by email once completed. A valid credit card and photo identification are required at booking and again at check-in. Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance.
Rates, taxes & fees
Rates are quoted per room, per night, in US dollars, for two guests per room, and vary by room tier and season as shown on the site. Curaçao's 7% turnover tax and a 12% service charge are added at checkout and itemized in your booking summary before payment. Each additional guest, where the room allows, is charged US$25 per night; children under 5 stay free and children 6 years and above are counted as adults. Booking direct guarantees our lowest available rate.
Deposit & payment
A deposit of 30% secures the room at booking; the balance is settled at the hotel on check-in. Payment is by major credit or debit card — cash is not accepted. A refundable damage deposit of US$150 is collected by card up to 14 days before arrival and is reimbursed in full within 14 days of check-out, subject to an inspection of the room.
Cancellation & refunds
Reservations booked direct on this site may be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before the arrival date; anything paid is then refunded in full to the original card. For cancellations within 7 days of arrival, early departures and no-shows, the full value of the reserved stay is charged and the deposit is not refundable. Promotional, non-refundable and group rates carry their own terms, which are stated at booking and on your confirmation; where the confirmation differs from this page, the confirmation prevails. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically settle within 14 days.
Check-in & check-out
Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. Early check-in and late check-out can be purchased subject to availability (from US$25); we are happy to hold luggage at no charge. The minimum age for check-in is 18; guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Children, cots & pets
Children of every age are welcome. A cot for children up to 3 years is available on request at US$10 per night; the historic rooms do not accommodate extra beds. Pets are not permitted in the monument. When booking more than 3 rooms, group terms and supplements apply — write to us for a tailored offer.
The building
The hotel occupies a protected 1892 monument. Some rooms are reached by stairs and architectural features vary room to room; tell us your needs when you book and we will place you accordingly.
Guest conduct
We ask guests to treat the house, its staff and other guests with care. We reserve the right to decline or end a stay in cases of unsafe or disrespectful behaviour, or damage to the property.
Liability
We take reasonable care to keep the hotel safe and accurate in its descriptions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These conditions are governed by the law of Curaçao. The booking confirmation prevails where it differs from this page.
