Getting Around Curaçao
Willemstad itself is wonderfully walkable, but to reach the beaches and the west end you will want a rental car — public transport is limited.
The historic centre, where the hotel sits, is best on foot; everything in the old town is minutes away. For beaches and nature, rent a car (driving is on the right, and roads are easy outside town). Taxis use fixed fares and are handy for shorter hops. "Konvoi" minibuses and large buses serve main routes cheaply but run on loose schedules. Many visitors rent a car for two or three beach days only.
Good to know
- Walk the historic centre — it is compact and flat.
- Rent a car for beach and west-end days; drive on the right.
- Agree taxi fares in advance; there are no meters.
